A wood burning stove for those cool summer evening lay at the physical heart of 'Al Fresco'. Peter Reader was able to obtain generous sponsorship from Clearview Stoves, an English company who make the market leading 'Clearview Stove' range. They provided expertise in relation to the heat output of their stove range and important advice relating to the build of the chimney such that it allowed the fire to draw and burn well, but also was safe. 
On the Clearview website they have a number of short films that tell the stories of the owners of Clearview stoves from around the country and how they use their stoves. 'Al Fresco' was an exciting project for Clearview and so they asked if they could make a film about the story of the garden from initial concepts to the Hampton Court Show itself. This short film by Insite Films is the result.
